Capitol Public Radio concludes its presentation of “Around the World in 30 Blocks”
Capitol Public Radio (CPR), 90.9 FM, took us on a tour “Around the World in 30 Blocks”. This yearlong series was an interesting and insightful look at one of Sacramento’s most ethnically diverse restaurant corridors – the Broadway District.

In addition to making an invaluable contribution to Sacramento’s history, this series was the inspiration for the very successful October 3, 2009 “Around the World on Broadway” Restaurant Crawl (see below).

“Around the World on Broadway” Restaurant Crawl 2009
Together with Capital Public Radio and Councilmember Fong, the Broadway Partnership held our first Restaurant Crawl. “Around the World on Broadway” Restaurant Crawl took place in October 2009. 15 of our restaurants hosted a multitude of participants who enjoyed our diverse, multi-ethnic cuisine. This Crawl was a wonderful opportunity for new diners to experience the vast offerings of the Broadway District restaurants. It also gave our regular diners a great excuse to enjoy their favorite restaurants in a fun, new way.
The crawl was held to benefit our local YMCA on W St.
Broadway Partnership presents donation to YMCA
The YMCA on W Street was presented with a donation from the Broadway Partnership on December 15th, 2009. The YMCA was the beneficiary of the event “Around the World on Broadway” held in October 2009. The donation will support program scholarships for local youth.
